Inaugural Golf Tournament to Benefit HIV/AIDS Home for Kids

Jubilee Campaign is proud to announce our first annual golf tournament fundraiser to benefit the children affected or orphaned by HIV/AIDS in our Jubilee IV Home in Mumbai, India.

With the recent acts of terror in Southern India, we are grateful to know our homes are safe and the house mums and our partner, K.K. Devaraj, continue to work with the marginalized and forgotten children of India.

Westfields Golf Club

Westfields Golf Club facility in Clifton, Virginia is a prestigious, semi-private course designed by Fred Couples and Gene Bates in 1998. Its 18-holes feature 6,897 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. The course rating is 73.1 and it has a slope rating of 136 on Bent grass.

Carved through natural wetlands, rolling hills, and majestic beech and oak trees, Westfields offers golfers a setting that is virtually free from distraction. Golf For Change: The Tournament and the Beneficiaries

Jubilee Campaign USA, Inc. will host its inaugural golf tournament fundraiser to benefit the work of our partner in India for children with HIV/AIDS. Reverend K.K. Devaraj has dedicated his life to working with the marginalized children and women in Mumbai. He recently received the Mother Teresa Memorial Award for Social Justice in recognition of his "passion to reach out to the young generation in the city of Mumbai with an aim of rescuing them from the web of drugs, gangs and prostitution which they are caught in and giving them the opportunity of re-shaping their lives."

Who are we?
Jubilee Campaign USA was founded in the Washington, DC area when director Ann Buwalda dedicated her energies and legal training to seeking justice for the oppressed and performing extensive human rights activism. Jubilee Campaign advances the human rights of ethnic and religious minorities, seeks to protect children at risk of being exploited, and advocates concerning refugee issues. Jubilee Campaign establishes relationships with local partners within several countries and empowers them to be more effective in specific projects and programs.

Where is your money going?
Jubilee Campaign will host its Inaugural Golf Tournament to primarily benefit Jubilee Home IV, our home in Mumbai, India for children infected with or orphaned by HIV/AIDS. Many of the children lose their parents or contract the disease because their mothers are prostitutes in the red light districts of Mumbai. The proceeds of the tournament will finance the overhead costs of operating the home, the specialized HIV medical treatment needed for the children, and the educational programs offered by an experienced and loving staff of house moms.

Any extra funds raised will support the medical clinic that offers basic medical care to children on the streets and also to the building of a new resource center for daughters of prostitutes who live in our other Jubilee homes and need education materials, computers, and a network of teachers, professors, universities, and employers for their advancement. We hope to be able to offer scholarships to the girls who wish to go to college, especially in the United States.
